This page will contain a set of benchmarking 'test suites' that aim to give a clear idea about the performance of the various ETL tools on the market. The tests (and test results) described below study isolated features of the software (keeping the benchmarks simple and easily interpretable. Further they are (should be) well documented (according to the described standards) and finally performed by professionals knowing the investigated software (to avoid suboptimal results).

Matt Casters is a driven IT professional. He focussed on business intelligence and data integration since the start of his IT career, working for both multi-nationals and BI consulting companies. Since 2001 Matt has been working as an independent BI consultant implementing numerous data warehouses and BI solutions for large companies. As such he worked with many of the commercial products on the market. His disillusion about the price/quality relationship in many of the commercial ETL tools naturally brought him to the next step in his career.
